THE BASIC
Suitable for first-time surfers or for those who have surfed a few times before, but wish to get the right technique from the beginning in order to progress faster. Strong bases make better surfers!
LEVEL 1
THE PATTERNS
Have had beginners surf lessons in the past. Feel comfortable with the basic surf techniques like paddling and stand up. Be able to catch green waves, maintain balance, stand confidently, and feel comfortable in the lineup.
LEVEL 2

Have good board control and balancing skills. Be able to catch waves to both sides – left & right – and perform front and back side trim lines. Have good fitness and swimming skills.

Transfer
We are located in Playa Hermosa in CΓ³bano. There is another Playa Hermosa in Jaco, please be aware. Here are some convenient travel options from various locations to ensure your journey to Dreamsea. Choose the route that suits you best.
FROM CΓBANO (AIRPORT)
How?: One of the best options is contacting the local airline Costa Rica Green Airways. They operate small planes from San Jose and other cities to CΓ³bano Airport. You can book and pay directly through the website selecting from various fare options tailored to your needs and flexibility. The flight usually takes around 25-30 minutes. We will then arrange your transportation from the airport to Dreamsea.
Transfer Time Estimate: About 45 minutes by road.
Transfer Price: US$50 per way per car for up to 4 people, to be paid to the driver directly by cash.
Important information to consider when booking the flights:
- An additional taxi from CΓ³bano to the surf house needs to be booked during our booking process on our web.
- Although the local airport is just a 5-minute walk from the international airport, flights should be booked with at least 2 hours between the arrival time and the local flight, as customs can sometimes take longer than expected.
- Make sure to review all available flight options to align with international connections.
FROM SAN JOSE AIRPORT
How?: Our transfer service will drive you to Puntarenas where you will board the ferry to Paquera, and then continue the journey by car to Dreamsea.
Time Estimate: Around 5-6 hours, including ferry transfers and driving.
Price: from US$260 per way per car up to 4 people (including ferry tickets) to be paid to the driver directly by cash.
Important information to consider when booking the transfer: Please be aware that the last ferry from Paquera/Puntarenas leaves at 10:00 PM. Since the drive from San JosΓ© Airport (SJO) can take around 2 hours, we recommend planning your flight to arrive with enough time to comfortably make it to the ferry terminal.
FROM LIBERIA AIRPORT
How?: Direct road journey from Liberia Airport to Dreamsea with our private transfer service.
