You can enjoy surfing all year. From June to October (rainy season), waves are bigger and more consistent. From November to May, they’re a bit smaller, but still loads of fun for surfing and perfect for longboarding.

Costa Rica’s rainiest months are October and May, but don’t worry, it’s more like short showers, not all-day rain. Lasting about 1-2 hours, these rain episodes can be quite a spectacle with impressive storms. It gets a bit warmer and humid, but it won’t spoil your time. The rainy season is great for surfing, offering empty beaches, steady waves, and fewer people.

We offer a free shuttle during our schedule and it takes 4 min to arrive at the beach by car. Our surf instructor will bring the guests and the schedule depends on the ocean tide.

The wet season: starts around mid-May through to mid-November where you can experience some tropical showers. They usually occur at night or early morning meaning you can still take a bath in the sun during the day, enjoy the beach and surf. During those months, you will also find the biggest and most consistent swells. This is a perfect time to consider surfing in Nicaragua.

Known for more than 300 days of offshore winds, hundreds of kilometres of white sand, warm water and amazing weather, Nicaragua is a top destination among surfers. You will find waves all year around. There is usually the biggest swell brought by the Pacific coast from May to November, but for beginners and intermediate, you won’t be disappointed at all if you decide to come any time!

There are many good surf spots and if Maderas is too big the surf instructors can bring guests to other spots such as Remanzo which is really good for longboarding.

For small waves (longboarding), the best time is between December and February.

We have some rules you have to follow:
-By rule and company policy only 1 pet per tent is allowed. On arrival for check-in, you will sign a consent form leaving a deposit in case of damage in the tent, restaurant or any area of the campsite.

-You must bring them the bed so they are more comfortable and feel at home as they are not allowed to sleep on the bed or on the carpet.

-Each guest must take care of their pets; we do not have a pet service to leave them while doing an activity nor can they be left alone in the tents. It is important to be respectful with the rest of the guests and with the facilities, we trust in your responsibility.

All our double glamping tents are facing the same direction towards the ocean but only the first two will have direct ocean views.
