Here is a back-to-back comparison of the start to the old version of "From Out of The Blue" followed by a mix new version of the same portion of the song. The old version is first on the accompanying sample.

There is quite a difference in sound quality between these two versions. The old version sounds somewhat flat, piercing and artificial whereas the new version has improved tonal depth and a richer feel. The improvement is due to use of real string samples, Absynth sounds and much better effects.

The guitar's sound quality is also much improved on the new version. This is a result of better reverb, better delay and amp simulation via the Revalver plugin for Sonar.
