gone the children gone insane

ever watching they have come
to beguile us to disarm
first the terror then the peace
safe from ourselves safe from harm

billions court oblivion
heaven? hell? where does one go
poised at the end of this world
in the dark night of the soul?

but then will we turn our wrongs to right
to expose dark lies to free truth's light?
